The whole experience lasts approximately 1 hour 40 minutes, allowing time to arrive, settle, relax and reconnect before heading home.
🌿 Arrive
Please arrive 30 minutes before the advertised start time.
This gives you time to:
● Settle in at your own pace
● Enjoy a chat with other guests if you’d like
● Ask me any questions
● Take a breath after your day
● Enjoy a few peaceful moments before we begin
There is absolutely no pressure to socialise.
Some guests enjoy chatting.
Others simply enjoy sitting quietly with a cup of water and taking in the surroundings.
Both are equally welcome.
✨ Breathe
Once everyone has arrived, we’ll make our way into the planetarium together.
You’ll relax in comfortable, gently reclining seats beneath a beautiful night sky for just over 40 minutes.
Each session is unique but may include:
● Gentle breathing
● Guided relaxation
● Mindfulness
● Beautiful music
● Storytelling
● Quiet reflection
● Moments of awe beneath the stars
There is nothing to achieve.
Nothing to fix.
Nothing expected of you.
Simply breathe.
💫 Reconnect

I’ll be available for around 30 minutes afterwards if you’d like to stay.
You’re welcome to:
Chat about anything that came up during the session
Ask questions

What is Space to Breathe™
Space to Breathe™ is a guided wellbeing experience held inside the observatory’s immersive planetarium.
Each session blends relaxation, mindfulness, calming music, storytelling, quiet reflection and the wonder of the night sky to help you slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with yourself.
Do I need any experience?
Not at all.
Whether you’ve never tried mindfulness before or have years of experience, everyone is welcome.
What are the seats like?
You’ll relax in comfortable, slightly reclining planetarium seats while gazing up at the stars above.
We don’t lay on the floor.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely.
Many guests attend by themselves and often tell me how comfortable they felt from the moment they arrived.
There is never any pressure to chat or participate beyond what feels right for you.
Simply come as you are.
Is this meditation?
Not exactly.
Every session is different, but you can expect a gentle blend of breathing, guided relaxation, mindfulness, music, storytelling and moments of awe beneath the stars.
Will there be telescopes?
Sometimes.
If the weather allows, there may be an opportunity to enjoy the observatory’s telescopes before or after the session, but the main experience always takes place inside the planetarium.
What if it’s cloudy?
No problem.
One of the wonderful things about the planetarium is that the stars are always visible, whatever the weather outside.
Is there parking?
Yes.
Free parking is available at the observatory.
Is there an age limit?
Space to Breathe™ is designed primarily for adults and older young people who are comfortable sitting quietly for around 40 minutes.
As every child is different, I simply ask that anyone attending is able to remain settled throughout the guided experience so everyone can fully enjoy the experience.
Dedicated family sessions will be advertised separately.
I have anxiety. Is this for me?
Many guests come because they simply need permission to pause.
There is no expectation to speak, share or do anything beyond what feels comfortable.
You are always welcome exactly as you are.
Why beneath the stars?
Because sometimes the best perspective comes from looking up.
Research suggests that moments of awe—experiences of something vast, beautiful or inspiring—can help reduce stress, quiet a busy mind and increase feelings of connection and wellbeing.
The stars invite us to pause, breathe, gain perspective and remember that we’re part of something much bigger than today’s worries.
At Space to Breathe™, they aren’t simply the backdrop.
They’re part of the experience.
